If you lay a line of coins from one door of the Church to the other, how many coins would you need?

And how much could we raise for Church funds?

Well, what are the answers?

Such was the generosity of all who attended, that the line of 3000+ coins stretched from door to door ... three times, raising over £140

Pennies From Heaven
Saturday 23rd October ... from 10.00am

If you lay a line of coins from one door of the Church to the other, how many coins would you need?
And how much could we raise for Church funds?


On Saturday 23rd October 10am onwards with your help we hope to find out.
We need you to collect as many coins of decimal currency as possible - the bigger the better!
We hope to have a container for collecting the coins. But you can also bring them on the day and lay them yourself!
We will also be providing tea or coffee - and from midday onwards (for a donation) light lunch.

Help would be appreciated with:

Preparing the refreshments
Stewarding the Church
Laying the coins
Counting the coins afterwards!

Donations of money for the purchasing of the foodstuffs for the lunch would also be welcome.
