Rumburgh Chapel

Rumburgh Methodist Church has no congregation. That part of the life of this lovely chapel concluded nearly a year ago. But the legacy left to Rumburgh by the wheelwright skills of the chapel Steward is a building in beautiful condition, currently waiting for a vision to make use of such a dedicated space in a village of around 300 people.

The Village Church only has services once each three weeks. The village hall is a rather roomy place in contrast to the warmth and cosiness of the chapel. In preparation for this vision, the pews have been sold and we are in the process of providing a uniform floor covering. Flexible seating is yet to be obtained. The Kitchen is clean and well appointed. A toilet is on site. There is a well kept and large car park.

Ideas of a resource for the village, a place for retreats away from the bustle, a place to originate a nonconformist congregation - all have been floated. The facility is there. The Partnership want it to be a place of worship. A fund of around £3000 pounds is set aside specifically for funding mission in Rumburgh.
